Mental health first aid training

On the 25th of January 2023, under the Ten-Minute Rule, Mr Russell re-introduced a bill, making it a legal requirement for employers to provide mental health first aid training.

The bill was first introduced in 2021 by Mr Russell who cited the “Where’s Your Head At?” campaign as evidence of public support of the proposal. The campaign aimed to make it a legal requirement for all workplaces to have a mental health first aider and even received 200,000 signatures. 2025 is when its expected to be passed.

First aid courses available through us, fifty percent of the fees will be donated to Smiling Families, whilst you learn you can do more for charity.

Courses can be at your venue or we can travel to you. Courses can also be completed over a number of weeks. Our training is at Coleshill Hotel in Coleshill who are amazing for offering so much assistance with their wonderful rooms.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. Having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff!

Paediatric First Aid

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England
to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and
available at all times when children are present. Providers should also take into account the number of
children, staff and layout of the premises and increase their paediatric first aid provision accordingly.
